Guest blog for the Online Therapy Institute
Dr Kate Anthony and Dr Stephen Goss are co-authors of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Ethical Guidelines for Online Counselling and Psychotherapy (3rd Edition)(2009) and -well renowned trainers, authors and researchers in online therapy.
Kate and Stephen invited me to write a blog showcasing my doctoral research into Email counselling and the therapeutic relationship, entitled ‘Therapy through the looking glass; implications for training and beyond…..’ which was posted December 6th 2015. Kate is co-CEO of the Online Therapy Institute, co-managing editor of TILT Magazine (Therapeutic Innovations in Light of Technology) and acknowledged as a leading expert in the use of technology in therapy and coaching. She is a trainer and coach, has published widely and is a Fellow of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. The Online Therapy Institute (OTI) provide a range of quality trainings.
Stephen is Principal Lecturer on the DPsych (Professional Studies) programme at the Metanoia Institute, Middlesex University, and an Independent Consultant in technologically mediated counselling. The consultancy includes; support service development, research, evaluation and supervision for clinical and research work in the UK and worldwide. He continues to publish widely and encourage others to do so, is Associate Editor for Research for the quarterly journal Therapeutic Innovations in Light of Technology (TILT) and sits on the Editorial Board of the British Journal of Guidance and Counselling.
